Popping Down the Shops

Well I can’t tell you just how excited I am right now.

One has only gone and opened a jolly splendid Pop Up Shop inside the fabulous Nichols Building in Sheffield.

I’m down here until Friday the 20th of April so do come by and say hello. It’s an amazing place, packed to the rafters with gorgeous vintage clothing, furniture and collectibles along with lots of handcrafted items. Oh and the cafe’ is quite special too, even the chairs you sit on you could end up taking home.

White Up My Street

Good Day to you my lovelies.

Hope life is treating you well.

Here at the manor I’ve got a hankering for the pure so today I’m going for a touch of white.

I’ve teamed my super, 1960s vintage M&S belted mini dress with shocking turquoise tights, a boxy leather deco inspired shoulder bag and a fabulous headscarf.

Well I do need my hint of kitsch otherwise I’d be lost.

It’s all a bit Jackie O’ no she didn’t.

A bit of all white

In A Lather

Good Evening Everybody.

Today I feel like a DIVA, so I decided to dress like one.

I’m Paying homage to Soap Queens and Drag Queens alike so I’ve rummaged to the back of my extensive wardrobe and pulled out an 80s masterpiece.

This dress has a tiny bit of everything and more. A sheer panel, beading, sequins ruching, a handkerchief hemline, shoulder pads and a cut out back. Amazing.

Of course that’s not quite enough so I’ve got my Emerald stone earrings and velvet clutch too.

I feel like Joan Crawford, Collins and Rivers all in one.

Now Everyone. Out of My Way.

Emerald Pretty

Well that’s it folks. The awards season is over and I’m so happy ‘The Artist’ took top honours.

If you are thinking, just where am I going to get my fix of glitz and sparkle now? don’t be alarmed I’m here to provide you with a new kind of glam.

I’m mixing a vintage 1970s disco sequin top in gorgeous emerald green with teeny tiny cut off Levis’. Adding a vintage art deco inspired pendant, fishnet tights and a tan shoulder bag for a look I like to call Ethel Merman meets Rihanna.

Hellloooo Lovelies.

Well it seams that Spring is finally springing here at The Manor and the sun is doing her level best to break through the winter gloom.

I’m celebrating by getting  the pins out in this super cute, turquoise 60s mini dress. Accessorised with bright beads and a gorgeous clutch bag,

(borrowed from my good friend) and perfect for this Lady.

Here comes the sun

Get my good side

My body's too beadalicious for you.

Now all I have to do is find my blasted shades, wherever did Freeman put them?

Till next time. xxx

Where The Wild Things Are.

Grrrrrrrrrr. Hello Tigers. Welcome back.

Today I’m in love with all things animal. I’ve ferreted out the faux fur and grabbed the snakeskin clutch (vintage of course) and, as there seams to be an explosion of love for our feathered friends on the High St too at the moment I’ve decided to take a peek at some of my favourite animal inspired pieces.

Top of my list is this gorgeous (and I must say quite huge) Vintage Lion Pendant. Purrrfect.

Next up, my Vintage Silver Frog Pendant with turquoise set stone. He looks a little squashed but I still love him.

Finally, I salute the man (or bird) of the moment with my cute Vintage Articulated Owl Pendant. With his amber stone set eyes, he definitely means business.

Hope you have a wild evening too.

Rockabilly Rebel

Good Afternoon Strudels.

Listening to some good ole Rock n Roll today and showcasing a 1950s look.

Wearing a fabulous vintage, tartan swing skirt and ultra cute 3/4 sleeve cardigan, topping it off with a kitsch brooch. Tartan always makes me feel festive and jolly, so now I’m really ready to dance.

Who’s with me?
