Geometry Lesson.

Hello everyone.

Hope you’ve all been having a fun time so far this autumn. A super spooky Halloween or a blazing Bonfire Night perhaps?

Today’s inspiration comes from the autumn leaves so I’m wearing this beautiful copper brown 1950s vintage dress.

It has a fabulous full skirt, pretty back button detail and cool geometric pattern.

I’ve teamed it with the staple kelly bag and a slightly crazy looking vintage cat brooch.

My My that is one unhappy looking kitty.

Cheery bye from me.

Hello Lovely People.

Today I’m wearing two of my absolute favourite things. Red and 1950s. I have to say this is one of the nicest dresses I own. It makes me happy just to look at it.

Covered in gorgeous red roses, with flattering 3/4 sleeve and fab full skirt. It’s so perfect for the autumn.

Such a great silhouette.

Close up detail. Beautiful.

LBD. Loves Beautiful Dresses.

Good afternoon vintage vixens.

Well there doesn’t seam to be any let up in this truly dire weather does there and it’s making me think about autumn.

Early I know but what’s a lady to do when skies are grey. It’s my favourite season for fabulous fashion and what better way to get ready than with this simply gorgeous 1950s vintage black velvet dress.

I simply adore soft, lush velvet. It makes you want to snuggle and stroke.

What saves this dress from LBD boredom is the pretty rhinestone clasp on the belt. I’ve also added a rhinestone brooch to compliment and topped it all off with this, most amazing 1950s embossed leather clutch bag. The colours and oriental design are simply stunning , brighten up the dress and my mood too.

Well I suppose it’s good for the garden.

A Right Royal Knees Up

Excitement is mounting down here at the Manor.

Only a few weeks to go until The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and I’m already outfit planning for the event.

First up is this simply stunning 1950s vintage royal blue (of course) waffle cotton dress with white trim. Accessorised with a huge 1960s enamel flower brooch, a white clutch and an unseen red petticoat to complete the look and keep the flag flying.

Blooming Lovely

Next we have an amazing 1980s vintage red polka dot dress. Even though it’s an 80s dress it has a lovely 1940s vibe, complete with the very latest thing ‘the peplum’. I’ve added a blue patent belt, a string of pearls and some gorgeous 1960s flower earrings to finish off.

Peplum Perfect

Patriotic Petals

Now all I have to decide is, which to wear first and then find the nearest Street Party.

I Hope Kate & Wills have arranged one, I promised Harry I’d teach him to tango.

3 cheers for her Majesty.

Marvellous Mary and 50s Fever

My My My. What lovely people I met yesterday at Mary’s Marvellous Vintage & Craft Market.

I decided on a beautiful, nude early 1960s summer dress but, as the weather decided to take a rather unseasonal turn I had to top it off with my faux fur.

Nude but not Rude

Unfortunately I lost my glasses. Last seen on a strange young man by the name of Eddie.

Happy Shopper

I had such a fun day and made some purchases too. Including a hand crafted Easter card from Nicky Attwell, some lovely spring headbands from Happy Hare and I grabbed myself a gorgeous 1950s vintage sundress which I have decided to wear today, teaming it with a fun wicker basket bag, some faux pearls and pink catseye sunglasses.

Good Day Sunshine.

Pretty Pink and Pearly

Just the right size for cucumber sandwiches

Now all I need is a picnic spot and someone to pour the Pimms.

Enjoy your day.

Hooray Hooray, It’s a Holi Holiday

Greetings Kitsch Kittens.

I decided it’s time to start planning the Summer break  and what better way to do it than to get oneself togged up in this fabulous vintage swimsuit.

It’s got everything I need to feel sunshine happy. Amazing bright floral print: Check. 50s Pinup style: Check. A bit of help in the bust department: Check. Never been worn with it’s original labels attached: Check Check Check.

I’m grabbing my cats eye glasses and retro headscarf and I’m raring to go.

Anyone know where I can get that perfect beach bag?

All set. Who wants to do my back?

I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Well Baby it certainly is cold outside isn’t it. But, don’t fret lovelies, Valentines Day is just around the corner closely followed by Spring (hopefully).

I’m getting myself in the mood by embracing this year’s candy colours but worn the vintage way, with my 1950s pink prom dress. Accessorised with a pretty painted heart choker and gorgeous embroidered and beaded bag.

It’s an outfit to lift anyone’s spirits on a gloomy, grey sky day. I’m ready for love, so bring on the hearts and flowers all year round I say. Don’t leave it just for one day.

Here’s wishing you all Love Always.
