Stuck in the Middleton with you

Winter White is definitely alright with me. (Well a sort of off white anyway).

Today I thought I would dress like a Duchess (The Former Miss Middleton) and opted for a stylish 1980s vintage ivory dress teamed with a thin black belt, neat velvet clutch bag and the ultimate accessory a 1950s netted hat. This, of course, being the thrifty Kate we love, the dress can be also worn without the collar and paired with glamourous red & gold for a more Pippa look.

Two for the price of one.

If only I had a Winter Wedding to attend.

Come Spy With Me

Oh the glamour and excitement of Pan Am.

I’m just loving this new show, especially the espionage storyline. So, today I’m taking my style inspiration from Bridget and Kate, the spying stewardesses.

I’m wearing a 1960’s plaid tweed dress with pale tights and carrying a fab tooled leather bag. Topping off with a camel colour beret and a heart locket, Perfect for storing the micro film.

I’m Ready for my mission.

I Was Born With A Silver Spoon In My Mouth.

Hello Treasure Hunters.

Today I’ve come over all nostalgic for the 1960s so I’ve dug out my old (but fabulous) towelling Striped Blazer.

I’ve teamed it with a black suede mini skirt, a white contrast trim keyhole vest and white tights and topped it off with a cute box bag.

All I need now is somewhere to swing.

Off to give Pattie a quick ring see if she wants to pop round for a twist or two.

Somewhere a Barbershop is missing it’s 4th member.

My Fair Lady

Hello  good people of the world (or those of you who read this anyway).

Yesterday I had a marvellous time and I mean literally, at Mary’s Marvellous Christmas and Craft Fair. Phew! Try saying that after one too many G&Ts.

Lots of lovely stallholders selling everything from Kitsch kittens to amazing Art Deco handbags and plenty of talented crafters too with great hand knits and even contemporary art works from Sheffield’s own Jonathan Wilkinson.

The cafe there had amazing food with gorgeous homemade cakes too. Absolutely yummy.

Channeling one of my style icons, Marlene Dietrich but with my own little twist. I was dressed in a full skirted, black lace dress, accessorised with glass beads, a cravat and a Top Hat.

I was very good and my only purchase of the day was a stunning, chain mail Art Deco Evening Bag which was a absolute bargain. How Much? I hear you ask.

Well, a Lady never tells.

Roses Grow on You

Good afternoon everybody.

Well today I’ve decided to ignore the cold completely and hark back to the days of sunshine.

I’m taking my inspiration from Grace Kelly and wearing a lovely pink, rose print dress with gloves and  pearls and carrying a 1950s grosgrain evening bag.

I’m so looking forward to this coming weekend too for Mary’s Marvellous Christmas Vintage and Crafts Market.

St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane Sheffield, from 10am.

Please do pop in and see us.

Lady I’m a Firework

Bang, Crack Whizz!  Hope you having a splendid Bonfire Night everyone.

Tonight I’m inspired by the colours of autumn and nature’s fabrics so I’m wearing an original 1970s suede orange jacket (So this season’s hot colour) and a super welsh tapestry, wool pencil skirt. I’ve added a vintage scent bottle pendant necklace to give it a touch of autumnal gold and I’m ready for the fireworks.

Right where’s the footman? He’s supposed to be nailing the Catherine Wheel as we speak.

Rockabilly Rebel

Good Afternoon Strudels.

Listening to some good ole Rock n Roll today and showcasing a 1950s look.

Wearing a fabulous vintage, tartan swing skirt and ultra cute 3/4 sleeve cardigan, topping it off with a kitsch brooch. Tartan always makes me feel festive and jolly, so now I’m really ready to dance.

Who’s with me?
